The board owed the Panthers one, and it paid up: Trente Jones, the No. 194 name on the board, sitting there at No. 240 like a gift left on the doorstep. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They are betting Limmer proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
