You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most.

The Newton value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They went 2 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
