You can draft well and still miss the point. The Vikings did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
