Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Carson Schwesinger got past him. The Panthers do not have to explain a thing at the 140th overall pick. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Every board in the league had Hemingway lower, and that gap is the story. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
