Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Jaguars checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The Logan Fano selection is the head-turner. The Jaguars reached 22 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

That Singleton pick is the receipt they will wave around later. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick56 Rnd2 Max Iheanachor
They read the board right and Max Iheanachor was the payoff at the 56th pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick81 Rnd3 Ja'Kobi Lane
A conviction pick on Ja'Kobi Lane at Round 3, Pick 17 that the board grades a round light. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick88 Rnd3 Devin Moore
Devin Moore in the Round 3 slot is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick100 Rnd3 Keyron Crawford
They jumped the gun on Keyron Crawford, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick124 Rnd4 Nicholas Singleton
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Nicholas Singleton at pick 124. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick164 Rnd5 Zane Durant
They went early on Zane Durant in pick No. 164, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick166 Rnd5 Cyrus Allen
Cyrus Allen at slot 166 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick203 Rnd6 TJ Hall
A reach for TJ Hall in the 203rd pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick233 Rnd7 Logan Fano
They reached a country mile for Logan Fano at pick 233, and the board is aghast. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick240 Rnd7 Nick Barrett
A premium they did not need to pay, Nick Barrett a notch or two before his time. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Robert Spears-Jennings
Robert Spears-Jennings at Round 7, Pick 29 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
