If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Chargers, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

If Deal pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

However the rest shakes out, Lew at that price is a win they earned. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
