Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Panthers were there to profit. Quinshon Judkins, the No. 73 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 141. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

The Lachey reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
