Nothing loud, just a tidy B+ for the Cardinals. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Cardinals left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
On value alone, Fashanu makes the weekend a net positive. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In Round 1, Pick 8 they get a No. 1 receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick17
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
They let Olumuyiwa Fashanu come to them and pounced at pick No. 17. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick22
Rnd1
Jer'Zhan Newton
In the Round 1 slot they get a disruptive interior force, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
