The Patriots won the night they stopped Revel Jr. from sliding. Grade: B-.

Somebody in pick 72 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Shavon Revel Jr., the No. 45 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The Dennis-Sutton reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
