The Texans won the night they stopped Jones from sliding. Grade: B-.

Call it larceny. Sheridan Jones sat on the board until the Round 7 slot, and the Texans did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. They are betting Cole proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
