The Broncos lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

Thornton Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Peebles pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
