This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Johnny Dixon, the No. 191 name on the board, stolen at the 232nd pick.

They will need All to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Malachi Corley in the Round 2 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.

A straight-up fair deal on Christian Haynes at Round 2, Pick 31, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

The board had cheaper options than Andru Phillips at pick 94, and it noticed. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
