The phones were a trap the Chargers kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They banked enough surplus on Barner to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The cost of the Corum reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
