The phones were a trap the 49ers kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The process wobbled, and the D+ is where it lands.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Reaching for Haynes left real value on the table behind him.

Getting Edwards where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
