The 49ers let Jones Jr. fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Emery Jones Jr. tumbling to the 49ers in pick 147 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They will need Dotson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
