The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bengals and Mondon Jr.: B+.

The board owed the Bengals one, and it paid up: Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 108 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 150 like a gift left on the doorstep. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Reaching for Mukuba left real value on the table behind him.

The Bengals indulged a want in Moore while a need in tight end, wide receiver and other spots stayed open.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
