After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Stover pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots still on the board. Reaching for Stover left real value on the table behind him.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
