The Raiders cashed the board's mistake on Wells Jr.: B-.

The phones were a trap the Raiders kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Schwesinger pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, cornerback and other spots. Wells Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
