Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Rams let Lew fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The board owed the Rams one, and it paid up: Connor Lew, the No. 60 name on the board, sitting there at slot 93 like a gift left on the doorstep. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

If Tiernan pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

The back end got a real overhaul.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Mansoor Delane
Mansoor Delane in No. 13 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick29 Rnd1 Caleb Tiernan
In pick No. 29 they get a blindside protector, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick61 Rnd2 A.J. Haulcy
A quiet steal in the 61st overall pick: A.J. Haulcy for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick93 Rnd3 Connor Lew
They will replay Connor Lew at the 93rd pick for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick167 Rnd5 Nate Boerkircher
They robbed the room for Nate Boerkircher here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick205 Rnd6 Josh Cameron
Josh Cameron at pick 205 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick208 Rnd6 Sawyer Robertson
Sawyer Robertson at Round 6, Pick 29 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick232 Rnd7 Jimmy Rolder
Jimmy Rolder at the Round 7 slot is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick250 Rnd7 Andre Fuller
Andre Fuller is a better player than No. 250 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick256 Rnd7 Daevin Hobbs
A premium they did not need to pay, Daevin Hobbs a notch or two before his time. It fills a real need, too.
