This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: RJ Harvey, the No. 170 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 230. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Monheim has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

In No. 28 they get a three-down second-level presence, though they paid up to get him. A clean fit for the roster.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Trey Amos at the Round 2 slot. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Value with a capital V on Chris Paul Jr. in Round 3, Pick 37, a genuine coup. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.

Jonah Monheim at the 133rd overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
