There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Browns started one anyway for Ted Hurst, 27 picks ahead of schedule. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Getting Stowers where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
