Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureC+
The Seahawks answered their biggest question with Penix Jr.. Grade: B+.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Jordan Travis; the Seahawks did not wait, grabbing him 61 spots ahead at the Round 3 slot. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

Whatever Michael Penix Jr. becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The Coleman pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Michael Penix Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 15 they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Pick77 Rnd3 Jordan Travis
A wild overpay on Jordan Travis in pick No. 77, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick79 Rnd3 Keon Coleman
Keon Coleman in the 79th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick256 Rnd7 Jahdae Barron
A safety of that caliber at the 256th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It adds depth where they could use a little.
