After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. That Bishop pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
