The Buccaneers worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Buccaneers spent pick 147 on Jasheen Davis, a name most had 213 spots down the list. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Barton falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

It is not that Schwesinger is a bad player; it is that the Buccaneers had louder needs to answer first.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
