The Vikings let Dixon fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Vikings walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Dixon. The Johnson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
