There is reaching, and then there is Will Sheppard at the 243rd overall pick. The Saints jumped the board by 45 and dared it to prove them wrong.

The Walker value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
