The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Hairston: B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Maxwell Hairston, the No. 77 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 123. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
