More right than wrong for the Bengals, and a B- to prove it.

Nobody else had Isaac Rex anywhere near pick 237. The Bengals did, by 85 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

That Bullock pick is the receipt they will wave around later. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
