You can hear the double-takes from here. The Browns took Donovan Smith at pick 200, roughly 68 spots before his name belonged. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The Bernhard Raimann pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
