Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Vikings spent the 226th overall pick on Solomon Tuliaupupu, a name most had 78 spots down the list. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The Bernard value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
