The Vikings won the night they stopped Sampson from sliding. Grade: B+.

You could see the war room lean forward. Dylan Sampson at pick No. 95 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. It is not that Alexander is a bad player; it is that the Vikings had louder needs to answer first.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Fidone II has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
