Overall B

No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Vikings.

There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Vikings never got to the one that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

That Pearce Jr. pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 James Pearce Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick97 Rnd3 Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild at the 97th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick139 Rnd5 Malachi Moore
They took Malachi Moore at par in No. 139, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick187 Rnd6 Upton Stout
No edge and no loss on Upton Stout in pick 187; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
