MNFtball2025 DRAFTING FOR THEVikings
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall

FutureB-
The Vikings let Delp fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-. The Vikings spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Oscar Delp, the No. 112 name on the board, in No. 157. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Reaching for Clark left real value on the table behind him.
It is not that Hill is a bad player; it is that the Vikings had louder needs to answer first. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Malik Muhammad
In the 18th pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. Need was not the driver here.
Pick50
Rnd2
Bud Clark
They left a pile of value on the table to take Bud Clark this early at No. 50. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick82
Rnd3
Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq at the 82nd overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick97
Rnd3
Sonny Styles
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Sonny Styles at pick 97 is the proof. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick118
Rnd4
Jyaire Hill
Of all the spots to shop, they chose cornerback. Jyaire Hill in the Round 4 slot leaves quarterback, edge rusher and other spots for later.
Pick157
Rnd5
Oscar Delp
Somehow Oscar Delp was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 19, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick173
Rnd5
Trey Zuhn III
No edge and no loss on Trey Zuhn III in slot 173; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick196
Rnd6
J.Michael Sturdivant
No drama and no debate, J.Michael Sturdivant went about where he belonged in pick No. 196. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick208
Rnd6
Jordan White
A straight-up fair deal on Jordan White at the 208th pick, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick231
Rnd7
Rico Flores Jr.
They will replay Rico Flores Jr. at No. 231 for years; that is how good the value is. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
