If confidence were a draft strategy, the Vikings would have aced it. Jamari Lyons at the 208th overall pick is 50 spots clear of where he belonged. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Greathouse. The Vikings indulged a want in Lee III while a need in quarterback and edge rusher stayed open.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
