When a board-topper like Avery Johnson slides to the 244th pick, you do not overthink it, and the Vikings did not. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Lee pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, with Caleb Downs leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
