Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB
The Vikings robbed the room for Love. Final grade: B.

When a board-topper like Jeremiyah Love slides to the Round 2 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Vikings did not. No fireworks, but a solid B.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Keldric Faulk
In pick No. 20 they get a problem off the edge, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick50 Rnd2 Jeremiyah Love
You do not let a running back like Jeremiyah Love reach the Round 2 slot and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick82 Rnd3 Bud Clark
A tidy bit of business in the 82nd overall pick, where Bud Clark graded well above the range. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick97 Rnd3 Amare Campbell
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Amare Campbell. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick120 Rnd4 Jyaire Hill
Jyaire Hill in slot 120 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick124 Rnd4 Oscar Delp
The board had Oscar Delp higher than pick 124, and the tight end fell to them anyway. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick157 Rnd5 Dane Key
Dane Key in the 157th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick173 Rnd5 Xavier Nwankpa
Xavier Nwankpa at Round 5, Pick 35 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick177 Rnd6 Bryce Foster
They did well to land Bryce Foster in the Round 6 slot, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick196 Rnd6 Kayin Lee
No drama and no debate, Kayin Lee went about where he belonged in pick 196. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick208 Rnd6 Lawson Luckie
A tidy little value on Lawson Luckie in the 208th pick, a step better than break-even. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick231 Rnd7 J.Michael Sturdivant
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 231st overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
