The Vikings let Hudson fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+. The trade table was a mismatch, and the Vikings were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
Hudson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will answer for taking cornerback early while quarterback and edge rusher went begging.
Every board in the league had Hook lower, and that gap is the story.
