FutureC
Larceny in No. 50 lands the Vikings a B+, Thieneman and all. The trade table was a mismatch, and the Vikings were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Thieneman to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Caleb Downs
In pick No. 4 they get a rangy last line of defense at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35
Rnd2
Carnell Tate
Carnell Tate slid further than he should have, and Round 2, Pick 3 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick38
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
The board had Jake Slaughter higher than slot 38, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick50
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
They will replay Dillon Thieneman at pick 50 for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
