Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall A-
ValueB NeedA- TradesA+ FutureB
Best value of the weekend goes to the Vikings for Faulk: A-.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Vikings came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

That is an edge rusher worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

The Barham reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In the 1st pick they get a two-high chess piece. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick33 Rnd2 Keldric Faulk
Steal is underselling it; Keldric Faulk at pick 33 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jaishawn Barham
The board had cheaper options than Jaishawn Barham at pick No. 173, and it noticed. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick196 Rnd6 Kayin Lee
By-the-book stuff, Kayin Lee at the 196th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick231 Rnd7 Rico Flores Jr.
They robbed the room for Rico Flores Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
