MNFtball2025 DRAFTING FOR THEVikings

Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Vikings. The tape said wait; the Vikings did not. Trey Moore went at slot 158, a good 66 picks before the board was ready. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
The Taaffe steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The Lee III pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman still on the board.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Jermod McCoy
In the 20th overall pick they get a potential shutdown corner at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick50
Rnd2
Eli Stowers
No drama and no debate, Eli Stowers went about where he belonged in the 50th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick82
Rnd3
Iapani Laloulu
Steal is underselling it; Iapani Laloulu at No. 82 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick97
Rnd3
Michael Taaffe
The board fumbled Michael Taaffe all the way to pick 97, and they scooped it up. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick118
Rnd4
Rod Moore
No edge and no loss on Rod Moore in the Round 4 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick119
Rnd4
Will Lee III
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending Round 4, Pick 17 on Will Lee III with interior defensive lineman unsolved.
Pick120
Rnd4
Xavier Scott
They bypassed pressing needs at interior defensive lineman to take Xavier Scott, a cornerback that was not the priority.
Pick124
Rnd4
Jaden Greathouse
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jaden Greathouse in slot 124. The roster fit checks out.
Pick157
Rnd5
Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham in the 157th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick158
Rnd5
Trey Moore
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Trey Moore. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick173
Rnd5
Quinten Joyner
Quinten Joyner at Round 5, Pick 35 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick196
Rnd6
Miller Moss
They robbed the room for Miller Moss here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick208
Rnd6
Kelby Collins
Kelby Collins at the 208th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick231
Rnd7
Jeremiah Cobb
They took Jeremiah Cobb at par in No. 231, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
