The real work happened on the phones. The Vikings fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

The Thompson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Love.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
