Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall B+
ValueA NeedB TradesB FutureA-
Larceny in slot 213 lands the Vikings a B+, Thieneman and all.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Dillon Thieneman tumbling to the Vikings in the 213th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. The Bill Murray deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Spencer Fano
In pick No. 17 they get a long-term starter on the line at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick46 Rnd2 Kadyn Proctor
Steal is underselling it; Kadyn Proctor at pick 46 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick75 Rnd3 Jeremiyah Love
You do not let a running back like Jeremiyah Love reach slot 75 and blink. They did not. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick97 Rnd3 Jermod McCoy
Taking Jermod McCoy in the Round 3 slot is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick170 Rnd5 Mansoor Delane
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Mansoor Delane in No. 170, plain and simple. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick213 Rnd6 Dillon Thieneman
They barely believed it either: Dillon Thieneman still on the board at the 213th pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick226 Rnd7 Iapani Laloulu
They will replay Iapani Laloulu at the 226th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
