Call it larceny. Kayden McDonald sat on the board until pick No. 213, and the Vikings did not need to be asked twice. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

In the end it comes back to Spencer Fano, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
