Nobody had Fernando Carmona this high, and it is not close. The Vikings reached 32 spots to get him at the Round 7 slot.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. On value alone, Slaughter makes the weekend a net positive.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with quarterback, edge rusher and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
