The tape said wait; the Vikings did not. Pat Coogan went at pick No. 210, a good 38 picks before the board was ready.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. With quarterback, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

That Mills pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
