Ferguson should have been long gone. The Vikings pounced, and earned a B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Vikings came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

They banked enough surplus on Ferguson to cover a lot of smaller sins. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Adding Myles Bryant by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
