After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Saints committed. Jaxson Dart is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

They banked enough surplus on Williams to cover a lot of smaller sins. They are betting Dart proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
