A respectable, level-headed haul for the Saints: B.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Saints reached some 26 spots for Will Howard, and value like that does not grow back.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Hairston pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Spending an early pick on linebacker with edge rusher and tight end open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
