Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Steelers spent the 99th overall pick on Malachi Lawrence, a name the board had a full 38 spots lower. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Allar falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want. The Steelers indulged a want in Reed-Adams while a need in linebacker stayed open.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
