The Seahawks bet big and early on Willie Lampkin, 104 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. It bottoms out at a F.

So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Stover pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back and interior defensive lineman still on the board.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Trotter Jr.. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
